First birthdays — when babies have that mix of curiosity, cheekiness, and pure joy. This little one came into the studio to celebrate turning one, and the session was simple, natural, and just a few of smiles.
We started this studio first birthday session with a soft, neutral setup — a big white balloon, bare feet, and a lovely cake just waiting to be explored. I love keeping these milestone sessions minimal so the focus stays right where it should be: on those beautiful little expressions, tiny hands, and the real moments that unfold.
After a few sweet cake shots (and a good bit of icing squish!), we finished up with a warm bubble bath. The bath was his favourite part of the sessions- he wasn’t that interested in cake, but splashing was the best! For me it was a chance to capture giggles, splashes, and those irresistible happy faces as he played in the water.
