Wedding at Home – East Maitland

When it comes to weddings, nothing compares to the warmth and intimacy of celebrating at home, and this East Maitland wedding was no exception. With a huge wedding party of seven bridesmaids and seven of the grooms crew,  the day was filled with laughter, support, and the joyful chaos only close friends and family can bring.

The couple exchanged vows in the front yard, where the gardens of the family home served as a backdrop for this funny and heartfelt ceremony by Nell Dark Jones. The sun was shining and cocktails were on tap pre + post ceremony, everyone was super excited to celebrate with the relaxed bride and groom..

After the ceremony, we headed to a nearby park to capture family photos. There was a big list to make sure we photographed all the special people. And it was a lovely way for the family and wedding party to connect before heading back to the property.

In the backyard, a beautiful marquee awaited for the reception, transforming the familiar space into an elegant, cozy venue for an evening of dining, dancing, and toasting to the newlyweds. This home wedding was a true celebration of love and family, proving that there’s no place like home for life’s most precious moments.
