A fun shoot with Shelley (and her gorgeous pup, Nova!)

I recently had the absolute pleasure of photographing Shelley, an inspiring local life coach who lights up any room she walks into. I went to her beautiful home where she was hanging with her equally radiant sidekick—Nova 🐶💕
We wanted to capture the heart of Shelley’s brand: warm, uplifting, and full of colour. Think bold pops of fuchsia and green, lots of laughter, and natural, connected moments (and a few puppy snuggles). We chose the open, airy space in her lounge area and hallway. It has great natural light and bright backdrops, comfy textures, and of course, Shelly’s signature smile.
Nova was an absolute star. She trotted around like she owned the place (she does), and snuggled into Shelly’s lap when needed. It’s safe to say Nova is now an unofficial photography assistant!
Branding shoots like this are such a joy—it’s not just about the polished headshots (though we got those too!), but the personality behind the business. Shelley’s energy is the kind that draws people in, and I loved being able to capture that spark.
