A family walk in the bush
When the wind picks up and the gusts are really moving, some might think it’s a day to stay indoors. But for one adventurous family of five, it was the perfect time for a little escapade. I had the pleasure of joining these guys for a bush walk that turned into an unexpected adventure – a session filled with love, laughter, and a cozy natural shelter that gave us a break from the blustery weather.
This family’s dynamic is pure joy. With three kids each bringing their unique spark, there was never a dull moment. The eldest, a natural poser, struck every pose like she’d been prepping for a magazine cover. Mr Middle had a different approach: one photo and he was over it – straight to exploring and letting curiosity take over. And then there’s baby girl, the star of the show, who stole hearts with her cheeky grins and irresistibly cute interactions.
As we walked through the bush, the wind howled around us, but the towering trees provided the perfect canopy. I loved seeing the family relax and enjoy each other’s company. Snuggling close, sharing stories, and playful antics.
One of my favorite parts of the day was capturing the kids in their element. The eldest’s confidence shone through in every shot, while the middle child’s fleeting presence made their rare smiles even more precious. And the baby girl? She melted the camera with her wide-eyed wonder.
Despite the windy conditions, this family’s love and connection warmed every frame. It’s a beautiful reminder that sometimes, it’s the unplanned, windy-day adventures that create the most memorable stories.
To this amazing family, thank you for braving the conditions and letting me tag along for this unforgettable walk in the bush. Here’s to more adventures!

This gorgeous collage frame below looked amazing in print! There were even a few tears from Mum when she picked it up, so I’m sure they will treasure it forever.
