Maitland Family Newborn Session – Tiny Baby Cuddles & Toddler Snacks
This recent in-home newborn session was a beautiful reminder of how much love can live within four walls – especially when there’s a newborn to snuggle and a snack-happy toddler running around.
This gorgeous family welcomed me back to photograph baby number two – a tiny, squishy little boy, just one week old. Having photographed them before, it felt like catching up with old friends. Their home was filled with warm soft winter light, and that gentle calm that often follows the first whirlwind week of newborn life (with just the right amount of toddler energy to keep it real).
Big sis was curious, snack-focused, and wonderfully dancing her way through life. She hopped on and off the bed between cuddles and crackers, but never too far from the action. We embraced the chaos, of course – those in-between moments are so honest, and they make the best memories.

There’s such grace in families who let me in just as they are – a little tired, a lot in love, and completely wrapped around the smallest new person in their world. The light filtered softly through the windows, casting a gentle glow over the room. It was the kind of session I dream of – real, intimate, full of heart.
