Maitland urban wanders

A family session with a different spin- wanders around urban Maitland on a bright Spring afternoon.

For this session we utilised some classic Maitland locations and some brand new urban wonders. I grew up here in Maitland and love to use my home town as a backdrop. Most people tend to want natural backgrounds for their portraits so city scenery gives me a whole new perspective to work with!

Maitland Train station was our first stop, on the platforms as well as outside with the beautiful yellow arches. Then we headed to park in High st and to the new mural in Pre-School Lane by artist – Patrick Hunter. The vibrant pink and blue was an amazing surround for some fun family photos. I love that the mural extends up both walls and covers the ground as well!

Last stop was to the riverbank to walk through the glowing afternoon sunshine.
